Bensalem Comfort’s Mike Gospodarek channeled his inner chef once again and came up with another amazing recipe for all of you home cooks out there. Chicken Poppy Seed is a rich, homestyle and insanely delicious dish that is sure to satisfy everyone at your dinner table. Thanks to Mike for sharing this recipe with us and keep up the cookin’!
4-5 boneless chicken breasts
1-can of cream of chicken soup
8 oz of sour cream
1-stick of butter
2- cups of crumbled Ritz crackers ( about 1 sleeve ) make them look like bread crumbs
Ok, boil water in a large sauce pot, throw that chicken in there and let them puppies boil for about 10 minutes, meanwhile, mix that soup and sour cream together in a large bowl (it doesn’t look to appetizing but stay with it). Grab them breasts (chicken!) from the water and cube them up! Mix them into the soup/sour cream concoction. While mixing, melt some butter in a small sauce pan, making sure not to burn it, and mix the Ritz crackers into the melted butter. Pour the chicken mix into a 13×9 baking dish, I use a glass dish. Why? Because that’s the only 13×9 dish I own!
Spread the melted butter/crackers on top and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake this for 30-35 minutes at 350. Oh yea, pre heat the oven!
Serves: not really sure because I ate so much of it, but probably 4 people! Nutrition facts: Calories – probably a lot, but damn worth it!
